DURING PROCESSING
Interleaving Paper Protection
For precision cold-rolled coils with specified surface-finish requirements, we use dedicated interleaving paper at each processing and handling stage to reduce direct surface contact and friction.
Interleaving paper separates the metal during winding, unwinding and transfer between operations. Your surface specification and next processing step help define the protection needed for the coil.

Coil and Paper Setup

Coil Winding Detail
Interleaving Paper
Keeps metal surfaces separated during coil processing, winding and handling.
Outer Packaging
Wrapping, strapping and pallets are planned around the finished coil dimensions and handling requirements.
Removable Protective Film
Temporary film protection is specified by the faces to be covered, downstream use and removal requirements. It is separate from decorative film and outer packing.

Coil Wrapping, Strapping and Pallet Packing
Coil orientation, grouping and outer wrapping need to suit the product and how it will be handled. These packing examples are from processing partners.

Paper-Wrapped Slit Coils
Slit coils are covered with paper and grouped on a wooden pallet for handling.

Strapping and Securing
The wrapped coil is bound with strapping as part of preparation for dispatch.

Pallet-Packed Narrow Coils
Wrapped narrow coils are grouped and secured with strapping on wooden pallets.

Outer Film Wrapping
Transparent film surrounds the prepared coil for handling and dispatch. Protective film applied directly to the metal surface remains a separate requirement.
LOADING AND SECURING
Container Loading
Product dimensions and handling requirements guide how packed materials are positioned, supported and secured in the container. Unloading requirements can be discussed with the packing arrangement.

Palletised Coils
Palletised coils are positioned on wooden supports and secured within the container.

Wrapped Long Products
Covered bundles are arranged lengthwise in the container, with each bundle enclosed by its outer wrapping.

Round and Rectangular Bars
Round and rectangular bars are grouped along the container, with timber blocks at the front of the load.
Quality and Packing Questions
What can I send to discuss a sample?
A drawing, specification or appearance reference helps us understand the sample you need. Include the product form, grade or material requirements, dimensions, intended use and later processing where known, along with the features you want to assess.
How does my approved sample guide the order?
We identify the sample and keep it linked to the agreed drawing or specification revision, appearance reference and approval record. If the material, finish or processing requirements change, we review the affected reference before updating it.
What is checked before dispatch?
We agree the inspection scope with your order requirements. Checks cover the specified dimensions and tolerances, surface and edges, identification, quantity, packing and document handover.
Can my order include a particular test or inspection document?
Include the test, acceptance criteria, document type and any inspection arrangement in your enquiry. We review these needs with the material and processing route before the order is confirmed.
How is the surface of a precision cold-rolled coil protected?
For coils with specified surface-finish requirements, dedicated interleaving paper separates the metal during processing and handling. Removable protective film and outer dispatch wrapping serve different purposes and are agreed separately for the order.
Which packing details help you plan my order?
For coils, include weight, inside and outside diameters, eye direction, surface and edge protection, pallet arrangement, handling method, identification and destination. Other product forms may need specific bundle, stack or end protection; these can be included with the material specification.
ORDER SUPPORT
Sampling, Production Follow-Up & Final Inspection
Requirements & Sampling Plan
We review the material, intended part and acceptance requirements with you before defining the sample.
01
Requirement Confirmation
Your drawing or specification helps define the material, processing and acceptance requirements for the order.
- We review the product form, grade, dimensions, quantity and delivery condition for your part.
- Drawings, finish references and intended use are considered with the acceptance requirements.
- Your Confirmation
- The drawing or specification to use, the intended application and the requirements that matter most.
- Order Record
- The agreed requirements and document revisions for the order.
02
Sampling Plan
The sample plan sets out the material, processing route and features you need to assess.
- We coordinate the material and manufacturing or processing route for your requested product.
- The plan identifies the sample form, dimensions, finish and review items agreed with you.
- Your Confirmation
- What the sample needs to demonstrate and how you will assess it.
- Order Record
- The sample brief, processing requirements and review criteria.
Samples & Approval
The sample is reviewed against your part, appearance and processing needs, then identified as the agreed reference after approval.
03
Sample Preparation
We prepare material, finish or processed samples according to the agreed brief.
- We organise preparation and identify the material and condition of the sample.
- Relevant dimensions, surface and processing details are recorded with the sample.
- Your Confirmation
- The sample appearance and dimensional fit, together with the requirements of your next processing step.
- Order Record
- An identified sample with its specification and preparation details.
04
Approved Reference Sample
We work through your feedback and any sample revisions, then retain the agreed reference after approval.
- We compare the sample with the requirements and work through the review comments with you.
- The approved reference is identified and linked to the current specification.
- Your Confirmation
- The accepted sample and appearance reference, with the agreed method of recording your approval.
- Order Record
- The approved reference sample, revision and approval record.
Production Follow-Up & Final Inspection
The confirmed specification and approved sample guide order follow-up and the agreed finished-product checks.
05
Production Follow-Up
The approved specification and sample reference guide the material and processing follow-up for your order.
- We follow the agreed production or partner-processing route and checkpoints.
- Order identification is maintained, and changes affecting the approved requirements are communicated for confirmation.
- Your Confirmation
- Any proposed specification, appearance or processing change before it is adopted.
- Order Record
- Order follow-up records and confirmed changes.
06
Finished-Product Inspection
We review the finished product against the order requirements and approved sample reference within the agreed inspection scope.
- Our review covers the agreed dimensions, appearance, identification, quantity and packing.
- Inspection results are brought together with the product documents required for handover.
- Your Confirmation
- The acceptance requirements and how any inspection findings will be resolved.
- Order Record
- Finished-product inspection records and the agreed document handover.
Final Checks for Your Order
