Partner processing routes by product type
Wire rod, drawn wire and wire rope are sourced through partners. The product type, diameter, delivery condition and, for rope, the specified construction determine the route.
Hot-rolled round wire rod is coiled and prepared to the requested surface and delivery condition.
Drawing reduces wire diameter before take-up. Annealing is included where needed to achieve the specified material condition.
A construction such as 1 × 19 is assembled as a single strand. Specify the construction, lay, diameter and end requirements.
Constructions such as 7 × 7, 7 × 19 and 19 × 7 require strand assembly followed by rope closing. Core, lay, coating and terminations are specified separately.
PACKING AND ORDER COORDINATION
Material selection, surface protection and delivery need to work together. We review these requirements with your specification so they can be included in the quotation and order.
Coil, spool or reel format is reviewed for the wire product you choose, together with weight, winding, cut lengths and end protection.
Surface Protection & PackingWe review the grade, dimensions, tolerances and finish against your drawing or sample reference. Any required tests, inspection records and material documents are included in the order discussion.
Sampling & Quality ControlWe coordinate the agreed material and processing requirements with identification, packing-list information and delivery arrangements. Share the destination and any shipping or document requirements your project needs.

PURCHASING QUESTIONS
Wire rod is coiled round stock for further processing. Drawn wire is selected by diameter and material condition. Wire rope combines wires or strands in a twisted construction. Choose the type for your application, or describe the next processing step if you need advice.
Give the diameter in millimetres and the quantity with its unit. Where relevant, add the required length in metres and any coil or spool weight that your equipment or handling process needs.
Share the rope diameter, construction and quantity. Include the required length, end fittings, drawing and inspection requirements where known. If the construction is undecided, describe the intended use for discussion.
Each wire product has its own grade options. Include the material condition and coil, spool or other packing format your process needs. We review the grade, diameter and condition together when discussing your order.
