SURFACE FINISH REFERENCE

Colour Finishes

Colour treatments combine with a chosen metal and base finish. Compare decorative coils, PVD-coloured sheets and wet-chemical colouring by the appearance and processing needs of your component.

Decorative Stainless Steel Coils

Mirror, Hairline and PVD-coloured coil appearances are selected to match the finished part. Colour references include gold, rose gold, black, bronze and blue.

Decorative coils

Reference grades
201, 304, 430
Metal substrate thickness
0.26–1.11 mm
Reference widths
1000, 1219, 1240, 1500 mm
Specification details

Uses and Order Requirements

Order Requirements

Specify the substrate, base finish, thickness, width, quantity, coil requirements, colour sample, visible faces, downstream forming and surface protection.

PVD-Coloured Stainless Steel Sheets

Vacuum PVD adds a decorative colour layer. Select the mirror, satin, Hairline or textured base separately from colour and the anti-fingerprint topcoat.

Sheets

Reference grades
201, 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 430
Metal substrate thickness

Order Requirements

Specify the substrate grade, thickness, complete sheet size or coil requirements, quantity, treated faces, reference sample, grain direction, downstream processing, inspection and packaging requirements.

Wet-Chemically Coloured Stainless Steel Sheets

Wet chemical colouring produces black and selected antique effects through a route distinct from PVD or direct electroplating. Base surfaces can include Hairline, No.4, Vibration, cross-Hairline or blasted finishes.
