STAINLESS STEEL FOR YOUR COMPONENTS

Chemical Processing

Vessel parts, formed panels and process pipework need material suited to their operating duty. We help you organise the stainless steel form, grade, surface and fabrication requirements around your process conditions.

Material for the Parts You Make

Vessel heads, shells and formed panels

Pipe spools, elbows, flanges and supports

Metal pipe fittings for process-pipe connections

Material, Processing & Surface Options

Surface Options for Your Part

Process-Contact Surfaces

Discuss pickled, polished and weld-finished surfaces alongside the duty of your process component.

The medium, concentration, temperature and deposits help define the surface condition and weld treatment needed.

Outer Housings and Panels

Keep the appearance and protection of visible outer housings separate from the requirements of process-contact faces.

A drawing showing exposed faces, cleaning access and fabrication details helps include the right finish and identification requirements.

Processing & Samples

  1. Material for the Process Duty

Your process conditions and component drawing give us a basis for discussing the grade and product form.

  2. Fabrication and Weld Treatment

Cutting, forming and welding requirements are considered with any specified treatment of welds or heat tint.

  3. Inspection and Documents

We agree the dimensional checks, surface inspection and inspection documents your project needs.

Information for Your Enquiry

You can enquire with a drawing, sample reference or a short description. The details below help us review the material, processing and delivery you need; share what you already know.

Service medium

The chemicals, concentration and exposure conditions help define the material-selection brief.

Operating conditions

Share the temperature and pressure specification from the equipment or project drawing.

Fabrication route

Welding, forming and the required delivery condition are considered with the grade and dimensions.

Inspection requirements

Include the product standard and inspection plan if these have already been defined for your project.

Quantity & Delivery

An estimated quantity and destination help us review delivery options. You can also include any inspection documents, protective film or packaging your order needs.

PURCHASING QUESTIONS

Your Material & Ordering Questions

What process information helps you compare material options?

The chemical names, concentrations, temperature and pressure range give the comparison a useful basis. Add contaminants, cleaning conditions and any start-up, shutdown or abnormal conditions that change the exposure. You can attach an existing process specification instead of retyping it.

Is 316L suitable for every chemical process?

No single grade covers every process medium and operating condition. Share your process data so 316L can be compared with alternatives such as 317L, 904L or duplex grades for that duty.

What should I send for a pressure-equipment material enquiry?

The project material and equipment specifications, drawings and required inspection documents are useful. Include the delivery condition and any purchaser or fabricator qualification requirements so these can be considered with the requested material.

Can the enquiry cover welding and forming requirements too?

Yes. Include the forming sequence, joint details and any post-weld treatment in the same enquiry. Dimensional tolerances, final surface and inspection requirements help define the material and processing scope.
