Surface Options for Your Part

Exposed Fittings and Panels

Discuss the visible finish and cleaning access together with the salt exposure and installation details of your component.

Atmospheric, splash-zone and submerged locations have different requirements. Details of crevices and joints help us understand yours.

Structural and Process Components

We help organise the surface preparation and weld treatment around your project material and fabrication specification.

Design conditions, welding requirements and the required inspection documents provide the basis for your enquiry.

Processing & Samples

  1. Installation Zone and Material

Your installation zone and project specification guide the exact material required.

  2. Fabrication and Access

Weld finishing, joints, drainage and areas inaccessible after assembly are included in the fabrication requirements.

  3. Inspection and Traceability

We agree the appearance checks, dimensional inspection and material documents needed for your order.

Information for Your Enquiry

You can enquire with a drawing, sample reference or a short description. The details below help us review the material, processing and delivery you need; share what you already know.

Exposure zone

Atmospheric, splash-zone and submerged locations need to be distinguished when comparing grades.

Material specification

Include your project grade and material standard if known, or share the duty when asking for advice.

Fabrication details

Welding, surface treatment and dimensions are reviewed together for the component you are making.

Documents and inspection

The required inspection and documents can be included with the material enquiry.

Quantity & Delivery

An estimated quantity and destination help us review delivery options. You can also include any inspection documents, protective film or packaging your order needs.

PURCHASING QUESTIONS

Your Material & Ordering Questions

Can I use the same grade for every component on a marine project?

Atmospheric, splash-zone and submerged parts face different conditions. Tell us where each component will sit, how it drains and how it can be cleaned. This helps us compare materials by duty rather than treating the entire project as one exposure.

How do I compare 2205 and 2507 for my project?

2507 is a more highly alloyed super-duplex grade; 2205 is a widely used duplex option. The corrosion conditions, design loads and fabrication requirements provide the basis for comparing them for your component.

What information is useful for seawater pipework?

Water temperature, flow, stagnation, chlorination or other treatment and expected deposits are useful. Include tube dimensions, welding and inspection requirements, or attach the piping specification you already use.

Which documents can I include with an offshore enquiry?

The project material specification and inspection-document requirements can accompany your drawing or purchasing list. Add project-specific manufacturer qualifications and traceability requirements with the requested grade and product form.
