Strip manufacturing and processing
WANRONG METAL manufactures stainless steel strip and coordinates partner sourcing. The process overview covers steelmaking, hot rolling, finishing and cold-rolling routes. Grade, dimensions and delivery requirements are confirmed for each order.
Hot-rolled and finished strip can be supplied or cold rolled further. After cold rolling and degreasing, finishing follows either tension levelling and slitting or annealing, skin-pass rolling and slitting. Both routes deliver strip in coil form.
Material melting
Steel refining
Casting steel billets
To hot rolling
Heating incoming material
Removing surface scale
Rough rolling
Finish rolling
Coiling the strip
Further processing: finishing
Annealing the strip
Pickling the strip
Further processing: cold rolling
Incoming inspection, coil preparation, cold rolling and degreasing are shared steps. The finishing route is selected to suit the delivery requirements. Tension levelling improves strip flatness; slitting divides the strip into the required widths. Both routes include slitting, inspection and packaging.
Shared Cold-Rolling Steps
Preparing strip for cold rolling
Cold rolling the strip
Degreasing and cleaning the strip
Improve strip flatness
Slit the strip lengthwise to the required widths
Inspect and pack the finished coils
Annealing the strip
Skin-pass rolling of the annealed strip
Slit the strip lengthwise to the required widths
Inspect and pack the finished coils
PACKING AND ORDER COORDINATION
Material selection, surface protection and delivery need to work together. We review these requirements with your specification so they can be included in the quotation and order.

Coil orientation, weight and dimensions affect handling and packing. We review edge protection, wrapping and pallet requirements with your material order.
Surface Protection & PackingWe review the grade, dimensions, tolerances and finish against your drawing or sample reference. Any required tests, inspection records and material documents are included in the order discussion.
Sampling & Quality ControlWe coordinate the agreed material and processing requirements with identification, packing-list information and delivery arrangements. Share the destination and any shipping or document requirements your project needs.
PURCHASING DETAILS
Your drawing, purchasing list or current specification gives us a basis to discuss the coil or strip you need. Include the following details where available.
Grade or material standard, thickness and required width.
Material condition, surface, edge requirements and the next processing step.
Quantity and unit, coil weight or dimensions, packaging and destination.
Explore texture, colour, functional topcoats and protection options for the product form you need.
PURCHASING QUESTIONS
Thickness, width and an estimated quantity are a useful starting point. Include a grade or standard if known. Coil weight, inside / outside diameter and winding requirements help us match the material to your equipment and handling process.
Yes. Tell us what you are making, describe the processing you need or attach a drawing or purchasing list. Detailed product selection is available when you have the dimensions and quantities ready.
The delivery condition needs to suit your forming and processing route. Share any required hardness or material condition, together with the grade, thickness, width and surface. Hard and soft conditions are reviewed separately for your order.
You can enquire with the target width, thickness and quantity. Include any parent material requirement, width tolerance, edge condition, coil dimensions and packaging needed for your next processing step.
